I've had a lot of pieces come out of the kiln this week and this Dogwood Platter is my favorite. It's a carved Dogwood branch with flower blooms. She's large at 14" x 10" white porcelain and a simple clear glaze. I love trying new things with my clay designs and this was one of the first times I'd carved any design in clay. I have to say, I like how everything turned out.

The fish platter is finished and I'm loving the contrast with the black and white. I like to show the work in progress so you can see how much the piece has changed.

A little something for the football fans. both of these cups are gifts, so these picture's were taken on the run!
The "Roll Tide" red is darker then it appears.
I will post pictures of some private school cups in a few days and I can't wait to show you how they turned out!

This was a first for me, a custom doll stand made for the doll artist. It was the first time I made this type of flowers and  this scroll design. I was very happy with how this piece turned out and I wanted to share pictures of the stand drying and after I glazed it in a satin white.

It seems only appropriate to show you some of my early work. After all this is how I got my name "The flower lady". The fact that I leave my fingers print in each petal only goes to show the time and work that goes into each piece.
